Is this screen compatible if my 14-inch laptop has an HD resolution (1366x768) and I want to upgrade to FHD?
Technically it is possible in many models, but it is not guaranteed. Compatibility depends on the video flex cable (LVDS/eDP) and your laptop's graphics card. Some cables for HD screens only have the necessary pins for that resolution. To ensure proper operation, we always recommend using a panel with the same resolution as the original.
My original screen has side brackets, can I use this one which is 'without brackets'?
No, it is not recommended. This panel is designed for laptops whose chassis fixes the screen with double-sided adhesive tape. If your laptop uses screws on side brackets, you need a screen with those specific brackets. Installing this screen could result in insecure fastening and damage to the equipment.
What is the difference between an IPS and a TN screen?
IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology offers much wider viewing angles, up to 178º, and more accurate and vibrant color reproduction than TN (Twisted Nematic) panels. If you work with graphic design or value image quality, an IPS screen like this is a significant improvement.
