Frequently asked questions
How do I know if this RN873 battery is compatible with my Dell laptop?
To ensure compatibility, check the part number on your original battery's label. If it matches RN873 or any of the equivalents like GW240, M911G, or X284G, it is the correct one. You can also check if your laptop model, such as Inspiron 1525 or 1545, is on the list of compatible models.
Is it necessary to calibrate the new battery the first time it is used?
Yes, it is recommended. To calibrate it, charge it to 100% with the laptop turned off. Then, turn it on and use it with the battery until it is completely discharged and the computer turns off. Finally, recharge it to 100% without interruptions. This process helps the operating system display the actual charge level.
How much autonomy can I expect from this battery?
Actual autonomy depends on laptop usage. With a capacity of 4400 mAh (49 Wh), you can expect a duration similar to that of the original battery when it was new, generally between 2 and 4 hours for moderate use. Intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing will reduce this time.
What warranty does it have and what do I do if it doesn't work or doesn't fit my laptop?
The battery has a 3-year warranty for private customers (1 year for professionals). If upon receipt it is not compatible or does not work, you have 14 days to return it. You can manage the return shipping on your own or request home collection for 8,90 € in Spain and Portugal, which will be deducted from the refund.
